Application of a Systems Approach
Identify a specific program, service, or project in which you or your department is engaged. Apply or use the systems approach to address (evaluate) that program, define any problems, identify the component subsystems, and illustrate how the functions of management apply to that program.
Write and submit an essay based on your observations. It should be 5-7 double spaced pages in length. The essay should have a formal introduction, a statement of purpose on the first page, a body, and a conclusion. Be sure to credit all sources.
You are expected to backup your opinion with sources. You should be prepared to cite approximately 3-5 sources. Be sure to credit all sources. The length of this assignment will vary depending on the type of department you are analyzing and how succinctly you can make your points. The assignment should be somewhere in the range of 5-7 pages.
